Bhadra dynasty, Ancient Vidarbha region of Maharashtra (c.2nd - 1st c. BC) inscribed Copper coin, 3.72g, 13.75x14.18 mm, Obv: Lion (truncated) facing left, Brahmi legend 'Bhadasa' in bold letters, Rev: Ujjain symbol with one orb modified to Nandipada. Unlisted in Pieper. Very Fine. Very Rare. (Although the initial name of the ruler is off-flan, the lion symbol suggests an association with Damabhadra. A newly surfaced type in Bhadras series.).
