Malwa Sultanate, Square Copper Falus, 5.58g, Sisodiya Ranas of Mewar, Rana Mokal (1421-1433 CE), Obv. Stylized Arabic legends above and below a central panel with Devanagari legend Rev. Crude Arabic legend al-Sultan bin al-Sultan. Maharana Mokal ruled the Mewar kingdom from 1421 to 1433 CE. He was known for his building activities, continuing the legacy of his father, Maharana Lakha. His reign was also marked by the growing influence of Rao Ranmal, who held significant power during Mokal's rule. Mokal's reign ended with his assassination, possibly by Mahipal Panwar, with Kumbha, his son, eventually taking the throne. After Mokal's death, Kumbhakarna, later known as Rana Kumbha, became the ruler of Mewar. G&G M Unlisted. About Very Fine, Extremely Rare. |
