Assam, Round Silver Rupee, 11.32g, Siva Simha citing Queen Pramathesvari, Persian script, Sk. 1649, regnal year 14, Rangpur mint, citing Queen Pramathesvari, Obv: Siva singh shah/ sikkah/ zad chu mahr/ bahm begam pramathesvari/ shah, winged lion facing right below, Rev: manus/ maimanat/ sanah 14 jalus/ zarb/ rangpur 1649. Legends in persian "struck at Rangpur in 1649, the 14th year of the auspicious reign". Reverse die struck at 3 o'clock. (A.Mitra. 94, RB I 13.1), Almost Toned Mint State, Extremely Rare.
The striking of some round and square rupees in Persian script indicates the presence of some Mughal influence at court. Legends in persian "struck at Rangpur in 1649, the 14th year of the auspicious reign".
