Sikh Empire, Silver Rupee, 11.02g, Mankhera Mint, Gobind Shahi Couplet, VS 1879. Mankera is situated about 130 km north of Multan. early 19th century it was ruled by a semi-independent ruler under the Nawab of Dera Ismail Khan. In 1821 AD, Ranjit Singh sent an army against Mankera and Dera Ismail Khan as a result of which Mankera with its strong fort was annexed to his kingdom.
