Tripura, Silver Tanka, 10.52g, Dhanya Manikya with Queen Kamala Devi (SE 1412-1442 / 1490-1526 AD), Victory issue, Obv: Lion facing left, bead above, date below to right (Saka 1435), within a circle with crochet border, Rev: Chattigram Vi/jayi Sri Sri Dha/nya Manikya Sri/ Kamala Devyau within square and ornamental border. R&B 69. Very Fine, Very Rare.
In the year 1347 AD Pathan Sultan Samsuddin Abu Muzaffar Ilias Shah attacked Tripura. He defeated Pratap Manikya and captured “Chatigram”. Later on Dhanya Manikya recaptured “Chatigram” in 1513 AD and established Tripura flag on the soil of “Chatigram” which is now known as “Chattagram” in Bangladesh. Though his win against Bengal sultan was short-lived.
