Tripura, Siver Tanka, 10.29g, Yaso Manikya with Queen Lakshmi Mahadevi (SE 1522-1540 / 1600-1618 AD), Second Reign, Obv: Krishna standing on a lion facing left, playing flute, one gopi on the right side, dated below saka 1522, within circle with outer border of beaded annulets. Rev: Sri Sri Yuta Ya/so Manikya/Deva Sri La/kshmi Maha Devyau, in square with ornamented border. R&B 192. Toned Extremely Fine, Extremely Rare.
Yaso Manikya who was also Known as Yashodhara Manikya. He was crowned twice. After Isvara Manikya, Yaso Manikya ascend the throne again. To introduce the queen name in coins was a tradition of Tripura kingdom. After marriage with queen Laxmi Devyu, Yaso Manikya indtroduced this coin. In the obverse side Lord Krishna and Gopi are there, it indicates Yaso Manikya was an adorer of “Bhagaban Sri Krishna”.
