The reign of Krishna Manikya is one of the most important chapters in the history of Tripura Kingdom. Tripura Kingdom was attacked and captured by Muslim tashilder Shamsher Gazi. Gazi ruled Tripura kingdom with his puppet Lakshmana Manikya for ten years. After that Krishna Manikya restored the Manikya dynasty by defeating Shamsher Gazi. Another notable thing is that he shifted his state from Udaipur to Agartala in the year 1760 A.D. Udaipur was the capital of Tripura for 1170 years. King Jhujaroofa was the first king to rule from Udaipur and King Krishana Manikya was the last ruler.
