Satavahanas, Vasithiputa Siva Siri Pulumavi, 'Portrait' type, 1/2 Drachm, (c.120-135 AD), Silver, 1.1g, 12.54x13.13mm, Obv: King's bust right, with elaborate hairdo, Brahmi legend around, Rano Vasithiputasa Siva Siri Pudumavisa, Rev: Dynastic emblem composed of modified 'Ujjain' symbol, six-arched hill with crescent, sun and wavy line in the centre, legend in Southern Brahmi (Arahanaku Vahitti Makanaku Tiva Tiru Pudumaviku around). Unlisted in major publications. About Very Fine, Extremely Rare.
An interesting aspect of their legends is that they name the king's mother, not the father, silver half drachms ( Fractions) of the Satvahanas are all rare, 1/2 drachms of Siva Sri Pulumavi are First Time in Indian auctions.
