Sri Lanka, Silver Proof, 500 Rupees, 28.280gm (0.9250 Silver), 1993 AD, 2300th Anniversary - Buddha's Teachingsin Sri Lanka , Obv: Large stylized leaf within circle, Rev: Kneeling figure praying within forest, design above all within circle. This is the only coin on which the country name SHRI LANKA appears. Shri Lanka was used only from June 1992 to December 1993, without constitutional authority, by decision of President Premadasa, in acrylic case with hard bound box and certificate of Authenticity.
