Dr. Shobna Gokhale published Matvan plates of Vikramsena of Traikutakas dated SE 284, he was ruling in western Maharashtra under Krshnaraja Kalchuri. The Matvan copper plate inscriptions verify that the Kalchuris had triumphed over the Traikutaka king Vikramsena between 506 AD and 533 AD by which time Vikramsena had become a Kalchuri Feudatory. But Mr. Sadashiv Gorakshkar and Mr. Karl Khandalavala believe it unlikely that Vikramasena would have been designated by full regal titles. Vikramasena was the last known king of this dynasty.
