The coin has been struck in high relief and was engraved the Chief Engraver at the Royal Mint, William Wyon.Obv: The obverse features the laureate head portrait of William IV facing right, with the inscription: WILLIAM THE FOURTH CROWNED SEP : 8 1831. Rev: The reverse features Queen Adelaide ,with the inscription: ADELAIDE QUEEN CONSORT CROWNED SEP: 8 1831. BHM 1475, Eimer 1251.
