Punchmark Issue, Post Mauryan, (2-1 Cen AD), Lead, 12.23g, 25.41x26.26mm, Obv: Two separate punched of four orbed symbol, One four orbed symbol has swastika inside each orb and the other has a dot inside each orb, Ancillary symbols of Shrivatsa and Taurnies also seen, On this, there is an overstrike of a majestic humped bull facing right, Rev: A set of two flower punches. This coin is a good representation of the transition from silver punch mark coinage to the copper punch mark coinage. About Very Fine, Very Rare. |
