United States, Silver (0.900) 1/4 Dollar, 5.93g, 1927, Obv: Standing Liberty, looking over her left shoulder, holding a shield in the left hand and an olive branch in the right. On the second type, Liberty's breast is covered by chainmail. From 1925 to 1930, the date was recessed, so that it wouldn't wear flat. Lettering: LIBERTY IN GOD WE TRVST 1927 M, Engraver: Hermon Atkins MacNeil, Rev: Eagle flying right. On the 2nd type, 3 stars were added below the eagle, and the latter is higher. The stars were all rearranged. Lettering: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA E·PLVRIBVS VNVM QUARTER·DOLLAR, Engraver: Hermon Atkins MacNeil , Edge: Reeded. KM 145. Fine, Scarce. |
