Ref: Studies in Vijayanagar Coins K Ganesh #139 pg 80. Achyutaraya was the younger brother of Krishnadeva Raya and succeeded him in in 1529. However in 1540, Aliya Rama Raya imprisoned Achyuta Raya in a coup and became the de-facto ruler. About Very Fine, Scarce. |
