Madras Presidency, Silver Two Annas, 1.44g, 1808 AD, Obv: A empty Buckle garter encircling the central design, Persian legends 'Do Ana Rupiya' which means Two Annas of Rupee, Value in English Two Annas, all within a beaded border, Rev: A ribbon, the ends seperated by a star, 'Renddu Analu' in Telugu, surrounded by value in Tamil, 'Irantu ana'. These coins were Struck for Northern Circars with a very low mintage of 64,558 coins of which less than 50 is known to be present according to the cataloguer.
