East India Company Medal For Seringapatam, Bronze, 41.25g, Obv: the British Lion defeating the Tiger of Mysore (Tipoo Sultan) with the date of the capture of the fortress 4th May 1799 inscribed below; Rev: depicts the assault on Seringapatam, The British and Native troops of the Bengal Presidency engaged in the siege and who took part in the renewed campaign against Tipu Sultan were awarded this medal in 1808 by the East India Company.
