(Popularly known as ‘Bele’(a grain) coin, these pieces of gold are believed to have been used as small money in south India during the Vijayanagar period. However, it is difficult to accurately attribute or date the gold pieces themselves as they do not carry any legend). Very Fine, Scarce. |
