Vijayanagara kingdom, Devaraya I or II, 15 Cen AD, Gold Varaha, 3.40g, 9.81x9.56 mm, Obv: Shiva seated in padmasana with his consort Parvati on his left thigh, Battle axe seen in upper right hand of Shiva & crescent above, Rev: Nagari legend in three lines reading “ShriPra/TaPaDeVa/RaYa”, Full legend visible on this specimen. Ref: Studies in Vijayanagar Coins K Ganesh #40 pg 62. Devaraya I & II both belonged to the Saluva dynasty, the earliest lineage of the Vijayanagara rulers. Very Fine, Rare. Estimate
