Post-Gupta, East Bengal Samatata region (c. 675-700), Gold Dinar, 6.68g, 22.03x22.88mm, imitating Gupta coin design (c. 400-500 AD), Obv: Has The King wearing Kushan-style conical helmet and tunic, standing offering a sacrifice at an altar, holding a trident, with crude Bactrian legend around. Rev: Goddess, holding a stylised cornucopia, inspired by the Kushan ’Ardokhsho’, facing right, Bactrian legend AROOXRO in the left field and a Tamgha-like symbol to right. Extremely Fine, Very Rare.
