Hyderabad Feudatory Imamnagar, Silver Rupee, 10.92gm, Imamnagar Mint, in the name of Shah Alam II, The mint ‘Imamnagar’ is not yet located. However, the coins of this mint are very similar in execution to the issues of Khujista Bunyad (Aurangabad) mint, struck under the authority of the Nizams of Hyderabad. Accordingly, it has to be located in the Marathawada region of Maharashtra. Beed, Jalna and Zafarabad (Tembhurnee) are possible contenders. The coin is most likely to be an issue of the Nizam of Hyderabad. (Source Zeno.ru). |
