| Pallavas of Kanchi, Copper Unit, 2.52gm 16.00mm, Obv: Lion walking to right with curved tail below lion legs, crude Brahmi legend on its back, around dotted circle, Rev: Bow and arrow in circle around trident type arches. Very Fine+, Very Rare. R.Krishnamurty has published 8 lion type coins in which all are uninscribed, but this is the first speciment with brahmi legend and unpublished in major publications, a rare speciment to collect with an excellent grade. |
