Guptas, Samudragupta, Gold Dinar, 7.70gm, Asvamedha Type, Obv: Sacrificial horse facing left tied to a Yupa or post, decorated with ribbons and banners fluttering above and letter ’Si’ in Brahmi (for Siddham) between the horse’s leg, also around legend, 'Rajadhirajah prithvima' (vitva), Rev: Queen standing left on a lotus holding chauri (fly whisk) and vastra (towel), in left field is a suchi (ceremonial spear with ribbons), with Brahmi legend, 'Asvamedha Parakramah'.
